Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 15, 2026

MakeMyTimer is designed with privacy as a core principle. This policy explains what data we collect (very little) and how we handle it.

No server-side data collection

MakeMyTimer has no backend server, no database, and no user accounts. Every tool runs entirely in your browser. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers because we don't have servers that process user data.

Local storage

Some tools use your browser's localStorage to remember preferences between visits. For example, the world clock saves your selected timezones. This data never leaves your browser. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

localStorage keys used by MakeMyTimer are prefixed with ttk-.

Cookies

MakeMyTimer itself does not set any cookies. If you accept analytics or advertising cookies via our consent banner, third-party services (described below) may set their own cookies. You can decline these entirely with no impact on tool functionality.

Site analytics

We use Vercel Analytics for aggregate page-view counts. Vercel Analytics is cookieless — it does not set cookies on your device or track you across sites. It collects anonymous, aggregated metrics (URL, referrer, country, device type) that help us see which tools are useful. Because no cookies are used, this runs for every visitor by default.

Google AdSense

We display ads via Google AdSense to support the site. By default, AdSense runs in non-personalized mode (Consent Mode v2: ad_storage and related signals are denied). If you click “Accept all” on our consent banner, we switch AdSense to personalized mode, which may set cookies to serve relevant ads based on your browsing history. Ads are placed below the tool interface and never interrupt your use of the tools. You can opt out of personalized ads at Google Ads Settings.

Third-party services

The third-party services that may run on this site are Vercel Analytics (cookieless, always on) and Google AdSense (respects your consent choice via Consent Mode v2). No other third-party scripts, trackers, or pixels are used.

Children's privacy

MakeMyTimer does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. Since we collect no personal data at all, this is inherently the case.

Changes to this policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted on the site.
